Auckland | Full-time | Salary-based

We are seeking a Scientific Field Technician with scientific qualifications, previous experience in a commercial business, and a great work ethic. You will go from site to site, completing a range of scientific services that will be taught over time. Key responsibilities include assessment, investigation, and the collection of samples, engaging with site contacts, and entering data on-site.

We offer a range of different scientific services, such as mould and moisture consulting, meth testing, asbestos consulting, lead-based paint testing, water quality testing, and soil testing and consulting.

About the RoleWe are looking for an individual to join our Auckland-based team in the Field to complete a variety of our scientific services. You will ensure assessments are being completed correctly and procedures are followed adequately. Your training will also involve learning how to complete Healthy Homes Assessments, so these too will become a part of your daily tasks when required.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Attend sites across the Greater Auckland region
• Assessment, investigation, and the collection of samples
• Entering survey information and reporting on-site using our systems
• Engaging with clients and site contacts
• Assessing and conducting safe working procedures in potentially hazardous environments
• Travel around New Zealand where required

Requirements:

• You must be a New Zealand citizen or hold a valid work visa
• Have (at minimum) a Bachelor's degree in Science, Environmental Science, or similar.
• Professional English language proficiency
• Strong experience working with customers
• Competent with technology
• A clean, current, and Full New Zealand driver's licence.
• A high ability to follow and understand instructions
• Experience in Occupational Hygiene or hazardous materials is preferred
