What You'll Do:

As our QA Technologist, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring product quality and safety during our night shift operations. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct routine and non-routine laboratory tests on raw materials (pH, micro, Brix, viscosity etc), in-process samples, and finished products.
  • Conduct Environmental testing (swabs and plates)
  • Supporting the production team with troubleshooting and compliance
  • Conducting in-process checks as required, verifying CCPs and support HACCP/Food Safety compliance across UHT/aseptic PET
  • Participating in root cause analysis for non-conformances
  • Support the compliance systems for both internal and external audits (FCP, RMP, FSSC22000, IANZ)
  • Ensuring compliance with HACCP, food safety regulations, and IANZ standards

What You'll Bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a food or dairy manufacturing environment
  • Experience with aseptic filling and packing systems
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently during night shifts
  • Familiarity with food safety systems, LIMs, and compliance standards

Pay and Hours

  • Pay range: $34.00–$40.00 per hour (based on skills and experience), at or above the NZ median wage.
  • Minimum guaranteed hours: 40 per week.
  • This position is for Night shift and the pattern will be confirmed at offer.
