We are looking for a Pashto-speaking Support Worker in Christchurch for our Whānau Support Services.
Please note, this role is currently four hours per week in the afternoon and evening, with the potential to increase these hours over time.

You will support people in their home and community to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives, achieving their personal dreams and goals by doing the things they want to do, such as going swimming, attending sporting events, arts and crafts, movies, or shopping - the list is endless

Who are we looking for? - Ko wai tā tātou e rapu ana?
- People who are passionate about helping others, and who are kind and understanding
- A strong understanding of intellectual disability
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, including experience working with youth
- A full driver's licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
- A desire to support people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes
- Someone who has the initiative to encourage others towards their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box
- You must be respectful of others' ways of thinking and living, even when they differ from your own
Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness are important in this role, as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
