The Role

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who's excited about building scalable systems, standing up new infrastructure, and owning end-to-end delivery of major backend features. You will work closely with other engineers to design services, deliver cross-system functionality, and contribute to a world-class developer experience.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in early-stage environments, enjoys problem-solving across multiple systems, and communicates clearly in a fast-moving remote team.


What You'll Work On

  • Designing and developing backend features and integrations with major external eCommerce platforms
  • Contributing to a browser-based checkout agent and related user-facing infrastructure
  • Building and maintaining high-quality APIs for order flows, returns, search, and inventory systems
  • Standing up new infrastructure on cloud platforms (GCP experience ideal)
  • Taking ownership of large projects from design through delivery
  • Collaborating closely with teammates across short, iterative development cycles
  • Communicating progress proactively and operating with a high degree of independence

What You Bring

  • 4+ years of backend engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in Python and/or
  • Experience building systems using RESTful APIs and gRPC
  • Solid engineering fundamentals and commitment to best practices
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working remotely

  • Bonus experience:

  • Building integrations with major commerce platforms

  • Working with browser agents or LLM-powered systems
