Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
AUT is looking for an experienced and talented fixed term Network Projects Senior Manager to join our innovative and high-performing Infrastructure Services Team. In this crucial role, you will be at the forefront of managing and delivery a raft of key network projects and at times, supporting, and advancing our Network delivery, driving both innovation and technical excellence across the university.
We're seeking a Network expert with at least 8 years of experience in Networking and project delivery, as well as strong expertise in CISCO technology. WAN Network design best practices is highly desirable and will be beneficial in this role.
This role requires a relevant degree and a current CISCO or networking / project management delivery experience and or qualifications. Your technical expertise will play a crucial role in shaping and evolving AUT's network projects delivery.

Ko wai koe | About you
The successful applicant for this role will have:
- Project Management delivery experience in the delivery of network projects specifically
- Solution Design: In conjunction with ICT Networks team and partners, Developing and communicating a multi-dimensional network solution architecture to deliver agreed business outcomes.
- Innovation: Developing and implementing processes, tools, and networks services to support innovation Implementing innovation practices to support iterative/agile working
- Technical specialism: The development and exploitation of expertise in any specific area of information or communications technology, technique, method, product, or application area.
- Capacity management: The planning, design, and management of the capability, functionality, and sustainability of service components (including hardware, software, network resources,) to meet current and forecast needs in a cost-efficient manner aligned to the business.
- Change management: The management of change to the service infrastructure, including service assets, configuration items, and associated documentation.
- IT Network Infrastructure: The operation and control of the IT Network infrastructure (typically hardware, software, data stored on various media, and all equipment within wide and local area networks) required to deliver and support IT services and products to meet the needs of a business.
- Problem management: The resolution (both reactive and proactive) of problems throughout the information system lifecycle, including classification, prioritisation, and initiation of action, documentation of root causes, and implementation of remedies to prevent future incidents
- Incident management: The processing and coordination of appropriate and timely responses to incident reports, including channelling requests for help to appropriate functions for resolution, monitoring resolution activity, and keeping clients appraised of progress towards service restoration
