About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior ICT Project Manager to join a progressive financial services organisation in Auckland's CBD.

As a contract role, this position offers the opportunity to lead and deliver critical technology projects that support the strategic objectives of our business. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of complex ICT projects, from initial planning through to successful implementation and handover.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the expected quality standards
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, facilitating effective communication and collaboration
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies to ensure successful project delivery
  • Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders, escalating concerns and proposing solutions as needed
  • Implement and maintain robust project governance and control frameworks
  • Continually seek opportunities to improve project delivery processes and methodologies

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years' experience as a Senior ICT Project Manager, ideally within a fast-paced, complex business environment
  • Recent experience working in a financial services environment is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple large scale projects within a highly regulated and data driven complex environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile and PRINCE2
  • Excellent report writing skills and documentation preparation is essential
  • Exposure working with DevOps will be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus
  • Proven track record of delivering complex ICT projects on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
