Customer Service Representative - East Auckland

My client is a long-standing and respected organisation that supplies quality steel and metal products to customers across New Zealand. You'll be joining a close-knit, professional office team that works collaboratively to deliver fast, accurate service to trade and industrial clients. The environment is fast paced yet supportive, where communication, initiative, and attention to detail are valued.

About the role: This role involves providing high-level customer and sales support to key trade accounts and internal stakeholders. Your day will include:

  • Managing inbound and outbound calls, responding to customer enquiries, and processing orders
  • Handling quotes, order entry, and documentation through the ERP and ticketing systems
  • Issuing test certificates, coordinating with dispatch, and ensuring accurate, timely delivery of products
  • Maintaining strong communication with sales, logistics, and production teams
  • Following structured processes while using initiative to solve problems and keep things moving

About you: You'll bring a solid foundation of customer service experience, ideally from within the steel, manufacturing, or industrial supply sectors. You'll also have:

  • Intermediate Excel skills and confidence using ERP or CRM systems
  • The ability to read and understand product specifications (familiarity with steel terminology such as RHS/SHS is advantageous)
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to accuracy
