We are looking for friendly, reliable casual Ticket Sellers to provide excellent customer service and ensure smooth ticketing operations at the soon to open Waikato Regional Theatre and other event venues around the Waikato.

Opening in 2026, the Waikato Regional Theatre will be Hamilton's landmark venue for arts and entertainment and will host an exciting programme of world-class performances, from live music and theatre to community and cultural events.

As a Box Office Team Member, you will be part of the front of house team based in the box office selling tickets in person and providing information about our events and services. You'll help create a welcoming and efficient experience for all visitors while representing the theatre with professionalism and warmth.

What's Sidekicker?

Sidekicker connects New Zealand's most skilled hospitality workforce (our Sidekicks) to work with event venues, catering companies, hotels, exhibition centres and more.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Greet audiences and answer queries in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Provide information about events, seating, pricing, and theatre services to customers and assist patrons with queries.
  • Process ticket sales and handle cash, card payments, and reconcile transactions accurately.
  • Be familiar with the event schedule, content, and any specific factors that may affect your section.
  • Maintain a tidy, organised, and welcoming box office area and follow all health & safety procedures and theatre policies.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in customer service or cash handling, and ideally experience working in a theatre, arts venue, or similar environment with knowledge of ticketing software or box office procedures.
  • Excellent customer service & communication skills.
  • Confidence in managing conflict resolution with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Comfortable using ticketing or point of sale systems, or willing to learn.
