We're looking for an HR Contractor to join our dynamic team and support the Head of HR in delivering seamless HR operations and initiatives. You'll be involved in recruitment, training and data management, while ensuring smooth processes and collaboration with stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your HR expertise to a fast-paced, fun environment where your organisational skills, sense of humour and proactive mindset will make an impact. The contract length is 6 months.

Areas that play to your strengths: The responsibilities we'll trust you with:

RECRUITMENT AND TALENT ACQUISITION

  • Manage job postings, screen candidates, schedule interviews, and support onboarding.
  • Coordinate background checks, reference checks, and recruitment reporting.
  • Execute hiring programs and help managers with recruitment tools.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

  • Coordinate processes and prepare insights.
  • Support employee relations cases and advise managers on HR policies

HR OPERATIONS

  • Maintain HR records, policies, and employee handbooks.
  • Prepare training materials, employee letters, and payroll tasks.
  • Respond to employee queries and support compliance processes.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Organise logistics for training sessions and events
  • Collaborate to source training opportunities and collect feedback

PROMOTE HEALTH AND SAFETY PRACTICES

  • Maintain risk registers, ensure compliance, and promote a safety-focused culture.

PROJECTS AND DATA

  • Assist with ad hoc projects including key HR lifecycle focus areas, system setup and data management.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years' experience in HR generalist roles.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, resourceful, and professional approach to tasks
  • Familiarity with HR systems and tools (HRIS, ATS, etc.).
  • A customer-focused mindset and ability to build positive relationships
