About The Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Grounds Person to join our team in Whanganui. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the outdoor areas to ensure they are safe, clean, and visually appealing. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail and a proactive approach to grounds maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general groundskeeping duties, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and planting.
Maintain pathways, lawns, gardens, and outdoor facilities.
Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment safely and efficiently.
Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf clearing, snow removal, and irrigation.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times.
About You
Previous experience in grounds maintenance or a similar role is an advantage but not essential.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Physically fit and capable of manual work.
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
