Following an internal promotion, we're seeking an experienced automotive Dealer Principal/General Manager (titled CEO) who is passionate about delivering excellence, skilled at leading high-performing teams, and ready to represent Lexus with integrity and ambition.

Located on the Ti Rakau Drive strip in East Auckland, Lexus joins our Mercedes-Benz, Mazda, Nissan, Peugeot, and Citroën dealerships, serving a well-established and loyal client base.

Backed by Armstrong's Group Office team and supported by an experienced Regional Manager, this is your chance to lead one of New Zealand's most exciting new luxury dealerships – with full autonomy and the resources to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial and operational performance of the dealership, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability
  • Lead the sales, service, and support functions with a strategic and commercially-minded approach
  • Drive business development initiatives while maintaining high levels of customer engagement
  • Inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams across all departments
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, manufacturers, and the wider Armstrong's network
  • Ensure compliance with all operational, financial, and brand standards
  • Champion a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement

What you'll bring:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in automotive dealership leadership or senior sales management
  • A proven track record of delivering strong commercial outcomes
  • Confident in managing multi-department operations with a hands-on leadership style
  • Highly skilled in people leadership, team development, and customer experience
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to identify and act on growth opportunities
  • Passionate about representing a luxury brand with integrity and excellence
