The Opportunity:

Join us as a Fixed-Term Autoglass Technician, where you'll be repairing, replacing, and recalibrating vehicle glass to the highest standards with industry-leading technology and tools - playing a vital role in fulfilling our mission to keep Kiwis safe on the road over this summer period. In addition to these skills, you'll also have the opportunity to offer and sell value added products and services, ensuring a comprehensive and satisfying experience for our customers.

Location: Smith&Smith Dunedin

Hours: 30 hours rostered across Monday - Sunday

Fixed term: Dec March 2026

What we're looking for

  • Motivated people with a passion for hands-on work, and a genuine interest in advancing technical skills with a keen eye for detail.  

  • No prior Autoglass repair and replacement experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive training.

  • A passion for exceptional customer service.

  • The ability to learn new technology and systems quickly.

  • Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to upsell value-added products and services.

  • Physical capability to repetitively lift heavy items (up to 25kg) during a normal working day.

  • A clean driver's license (restricted or full class) is a minimum requirement.

  • You must have unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.

  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test.
