Pharmacy Technician

About the Role

As a Pharmacy Technician - Aseptic Services, you will play a critical role in the timely ordering, receipting, and supply of chemotherapy and other aseptically prepared medications for Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Hawkes Bay. This includes liaising with external compounding suppliers and clinical teams onsite to ensure safe and efficient delivery of treatments.

In addition to aseptic services, youll contribute to the main dispensary by dispensing inpatient and outpatient prescriptions, and supporting the supply and maintenance of ward imprests as rostered. This is a varied and rewarding role where your attention to detail and commitment to patient safety will make a meaningful impact.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A recognised New Zealand Pharmacy Technician qualification (Level 5 preferred).
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach.
• A strong desire to provide a high-quality service that supports patient safety.
• Ideally, significant experience as a pharmacy technician, including hospital-based ordering and receipting.
• A willingness to learn and grow - training and upskilling will be provided.
