The City Rail Link (CRL) is a game changer for Tāmaki Makaurau | Auckland and is the largest transport infrastructure project ever undertaken in New Zealand. The CRL is a 3.45km twin tunnel, transforming the dead-end station at Waitematā (Britomart), creating two new stations at Te Wai Horotiu (Aotea) and Karanga ā Hape (K-Road) and reconnecting to the network at a redeveloped Maungawhau (Mt Eden station).

Te Tūranga | The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Document Controller to join our team on a 9-month fixed term basis. The purpose of the role is to support our Completions Documentation Manager with the maintenance and filing of technical project documentation for the CRL project.

This is a fixed term contract opportunity (9 months).

Ngā Haepapa | Key tasks and responsibilities:

This role reports to our Completions Documentation Manager and will support both our Property and Delivery teams to ensure that all relevant project documentation is accurately and appropriately stored. This role is critical to ensuring that our project requirements are met.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Organising large volumes of project documentation in SharePoint into a structured filing system using project metadata and established file naming conventions to ensure quick retrieval.
  • Coordinating document requirements with key stakeholders across the project, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Supporting the Completions Document Manager with the retrieval, distribution, storage and archiving of project documentation.

We are a small team with big deliverables so working collaboratively is key for us. Our ideal candidate has experience working with Aconex, SharePoint, Fulcrum, and ProjectWise, and can navigate new systems with ease.

Ou Pukenga | About You:

Our ideal candidate comes from an infrastructure background (or has experienced working in large-scale project or construction environments) and will bring high levels of accuracy, energy and initiative:

  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Aconex, SharePoint, Fulcrum, ProjectWise, and other DMS systems.
  • 3-5 years' industry experience in a technical, systems management, or document control role.
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands.
