Are you passionate about New Zealand's primary industries and keen to shape the future of young farmers? Vision College is seeking a practical, people-focused Agriculture Tutor to deliver our hands-on Level 2 Agriculture programme.

Role Overview:

This full-time position involves teaching small groups of international students, helping them build essential skills for entry-level roles in farming. The 12-week programme includes farm visits, team-based activities, and a three-week farm placement — all designed to prepare students for real-world employment.

What You'll Be Doing:

Deliver engaging, practical agriculture training to Level 2 learners

Mentor and motivate students from diverse backgrounds

Facilitate farm visits, placements, and applied learning activities

Promote safe, inclusive, and professional training practices

Build confidence and capability through real-world learning

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people and has a genuine passion for the primary industries. Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Practical experience in farming or the agriculture sector
  • A relevant tertiary qualification at Level 3 or above (preferred but not essential)
  • A positive, reliable, and learner-focused attitude
  • Experience working with individuals whose first language is not English
