Ko te kaupapa | About the role
We have an exciting opportunity available for a highly organised, competently skilled and experienced manager to lead our exceptional Patient Scheduling team. This team provides a critical service to our community (patients) through the booking of all outpatient clinics and theatre sessions.
The requirements for scheduling can change daily and therefore we role require someone who will remain calm in chaos and provide the team with a proactive and prioritised leadership response which ensures patients continue to receive their appointments within the required timeframes.

Our ideal candidate will support and grow our patient scheduling team. You will have a positive outlook and an energetic enthusiasm to not just lead the team, but walk alongside them.
Day to day knowledge of patient scheduling processes and/or working within health administration would be advantageous, however consideration would be given to the right person with the necessary skills.
You will be able to comfortably demonstrate:
- Being patient focused
- Energetic and enthusiastic in motivating your team
- Lead and work collaboratively
- Have a commitment to improving the quality of the service
- The ability to work in partnership, and communicate with various stakeholders
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sound decision-making experience
