ABOUT THE ROLE

You will work closely with the preconstruction team, subcontractors and key project stakeholders managing all estimating procedures from tender receipt through to post tender negotiations. The position will also involve junior and peer mentoring to ensure development and skill transfer within the business.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead tender submission including manage/co-ordination with various other parties that may be part of the bid team
  • Prepare detailed estimates from tender/consent documents
  • Request & analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Measure and estimate the cost of retained work packages from first principles (concrete & carpentry)
  • Prepare Preliminary and General costs
  • Prepare tender submission
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior estimators
Requirements
  • 4+ years' experience in commercial estimating or quantity surveying
  • National Diploma in Quantity Surveying or other relevant tertiary qualification
  • CostX experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
