A one-stop shop providing continuous, end-to-end solutions to keep NZ connected - backed by superior service, unequalled expertise and leading technical and engineering know how.About the Role:As an Estimator, you will have dual responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor and Contracts Manager.  You are responsible for providing input and reviewing the pricing that feeds into the agreements.  You will source adequate suppliers and sub-contractors for projects and creating the contracts and agreements and executing progress payments for supplier and sub-contractors and performing supplier and sub contactor evaluations on project completion.Day to day you will:Estimating. Analyse designs, scopes of work, and supporting documentation to prepare detailed time, cost, materials and labour estimates for customer projects. Work closely with Customer Solutions Partners to ensure budgets align to actual customer requirements for each project.Pricing. Maintain project pricing in Estimating system Benchmark and provide final pricing or quotations to Sales in a timely manner to be uploaded into the Approval system. Investigate and implement evolving methods for improving cost estimation accuracy and efficiency.Sub-Contractor Relationships. Source, negotiate and prepare Statements of Work between Entelar Group and suppliers and sub-contractors. Perform supplier and sub-contractor evaluations with the project team at the end of every project. Build and maintain strong sub-contractor relationships.Contract Management. Work collaboratively with key project managers responsible for project delivery and procurement to ensure effective and efficient contractual communication and management, and to ensure that all agreements and contracts are completed on time, within budget, and at or above the agreed quality standard. Execute progress payments for suppliers and sub-contractors on time.Cost Control. Develop and maintain systems and processes related to budget tracking and project cost control.  Undertake regular project and contract cost audits to identify and then eliminate inefficiencies in project delivery.Training . Support and train team members in estimating process and tools.Health & Safety.Be safe - Take all reasonable precautions while at work to ensure your own safety and the safety of your team, contractors and the public. Follow our health and safety procedures and speak up about hazards and any health and safety events (incidents and accidents).What experience you'll bring:Experience. You will have substantial prior experience in a Quantity Surveying or similar role (>5 years); be confident in negotiating with suppliers and sub-contractors and creating contracts and SOWs; be proficient in estimating software (e.g Benchmark or Candy) and Microsoft Office tools with Advanced Excel skills.- Collaboration. Demonstrated ability of working as part of a team; sharing your knowledge and passions, growing your teams' capability and removing barriers to performance- Industry Experience.Previous telecommunications or infrastructure experience would be advantageous.- Communication.Outstanding communication skills in all formats, including the ability to make the complex and complicated, simple and understandable.- Stakeholder management.Proven partnering and stakeholder management capabilities and experience i.e., working effectively within and across teams and functions within a large organisation.- Social & relationship skills.A people person, able to build rapport and constructive working relationships with diverse groups of people.- Resilience & growth mindset.Operates with a growth mindset, being willing to embrace challenges, persist in the face of setbacks and seek learnings from every opportunity.- Independent and proactive.
