Design & Technical Coordinator – Residential Construction

Are you a detail-driven professional with a passion for residential design and construction? We're looking for a skilled Design & Technical Coordinator to take ownership of projects from Resource Consent (RC) through to Code Compliance Certificate (CCC), ensuring every technical and design element aligns with compliance, budget, and build timelines.

This is a pivotal role where you'll act as the central point of contact between internal teams and external consultants, helping deliver high-quality residential developments across New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination of architectural, structural, and civil design elements.
  • Manage external consultants to produce compliant, high-quality working drawings.
  • Support Project Managers and construction teams throughout the build phase.
  • Resolve technical and design challenges during construction.
  • Ensure all documentation meets NZBC, NZS3604, and Council requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of NZ-based experience in architectural drafting or project coordination.
  • Strong working knowledge of NZ building codes and consenting processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines with precision and attention to detail.
  • Qualification in Architectural Technology or similar (preferred).
  • Experience with public infrastructure or development projects (a bonus).
