We're partnering with a well-established civil construction business that's been delivering large-scale infrastructure projects for decades. The kind of company where delivery isn't just promised, it's proven. With strong growth, project pipelines, and long-standing leadership, they're now looking for a  Senior Civil Engineer to join the team in Invercargill and take ownership across delivery, supervision, and stakeholder management.

This is a key role in a team that values practical thinking, smart planning, and getting stuck in.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supervising and delivering civil infrastructure projects across roads, drainage, structures, and land development
  • Managing subcontractors, liaising with clients and councils, and ensuring smooth day-to-day site operations
  • Keeping an eye on budgets, variations, and programme while solving challenges proactively
  • Working closely with experienced Project Managers and operational teams in a collaborative, tight-knit crew

What we're looking for:

  • A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
  • 3-8 years' experience delivering civil infrastructure projects in NZ or similar environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage relationships on and off site
  • A natural drive to take responsibility, find better ways to work, and support others
  • Bonus points if you're familiar with NZS3910 or have supervised sites previously
