Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contract Engineer to join our team in Invercargill. This role is pivotal in delivering contract requirements, optimising resources, and ensuring project success. If you have a strong background in engineering, project management, and contract administration, we want to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project methodology budgets, and programs for construction, maintenance, sealing and surfacing
  • Work closely with estimators to prepare accurate estimates and tenders for contracts and variations
  • Manage assigned contracts efficiently, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, timelines and financial targets
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring quality, safety, and environmental standards are met
  • Maintain strong client relationships and stakeholder engagement to facilitate successful project delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and project outcomes

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in contract management, project delivery, and financial oversight
  • Experience in surfacing, sealing, or pavement construction would be advantageous
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • A commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance
