The Opportunity | Te Kōwhiringa
As a Transport Corridor Auditor, you'll be responsible for inspecting reinstatement works, carrying out warranty inspections, identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with key industry standards including the Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management and the National Code of Practice for Utilities Access to Transport Corridors.
You'll also undertake Traffic Management audits, support project delivery across the network, and play a key role in maintaining strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders such as Waka Kotahi and Regional Councils.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conduct reinstatement and warranty inspections, recording defects using Submitica.
Oversee and assist with field work, ensuring compliance with contract and regional specifications.
Undertake quality checks, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships across Downer, HCC, and CCA teams.
Lead by example in Zero Harm, including safety leadership walks and ensuring safety excellence in all work.
Important Skills | Nga Pūkenga Matua:
CoPTTM STMS CAT A/B qualification and 2–3 years of practical experience.
Strong understanding of the National Code of Practice for Utility Operators Access to the Transport Corridor.
Experience in network maintenance, civil construction, or roading (advantageous).
Proven ability in network inspection and fault identification.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build influential relationships.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills and resilience.
