Project Manager – Auckland | TechClean – Asbestos & Restoration

Welcome to TechClean – New Zealand's trusted experts in asbestos removal, restoration, and hazardous material management. We're growing – and we're looking for a skilled, motivated Project Manager to join our Auckland team.

About the Role:

As a Project Manager at TechClean, you'll play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering asbestos and restoration projects across the Auckland region. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll ensure each project runs safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. This role suits someone who's practical, organised, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple asbestos and restoration projects from initiation to completion
  • Ensure all works are delivered in line with NZ regulations, industry standards, and TechClean's H&S policies
  • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and client expectations – identifying and resolving issues proactively
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, reports, and compliance records
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
  • Support the Branch Manager in delivering branch goals and continuous improvement initiatives

About You:

  • Proven experience in project management or site supervision within asbestos removal, construction, or restoration industries
  • Strong understanding of health & safety and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lead and coordinate field teams while maintaining positive working relationships
  • Commercial awareness – you understand budgets, timeframes, and quality delivery
  • Proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Bonus: Class A/B Asbestos Supervisor licence or related technical qualifications
