About the role

Torque IP Ltd is seeking an experienced ICT/Comms or Security Services Engineer to join our dynamic team in our Auckland office. This full-time role will see you providing expert technical support and consulting services to our clients across a range of industries.

What you'll be doing

  • Designing and overseeing the implementation of ICT infrastructure, security and AV systems amongst other extra low voltage technologies
  • Conducting technology assessments, audits and gap analysis to identify and mitigate risks
  • Advising clients on technology solutions to meet their business objectives
  • Documenting technical specifications, drafting designs, processes and procedures
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies and best practices

What we're looking for

  • Expertise in one or more smart building technologies (e.g. network infrastructure, security systems, IoT, wireless, cabling, AV, PA systems)
  • Minimum 10 years' autonomous experience
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and building regulations
  • Proficiency in designing, implementing and troubleshooting IP-based networks
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Tertiary or trade qualifications (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with Office 365, Revit, and Bluebeam (or willingness to learn)
  • Willingness to stay up to date with industry trends and technological developments
