Are you a senior-level planner passionate about shaping the places where people live, work, and grow? Join a leading land development and planning consultancy in Hamilton and play a key part in delivering key projects across the Waikato.

For 3 decades this consultancy has partnered with landowners, developers, councils, and government agencies to deliver well-integrated planning and development outcomes. This is your opportunity to influence project direction, contribute planning expertise, and be part of a supportive, collaborative team.

In this Senior Planner role, you'll lead projects from concept to approval. You'll provide clear planning advice, ensure work aligns with statutory requirements, and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. You'll also support and mentor junior planners as they grow. 

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive planning experience in New Zealand (ideally 10+ years)
  • Strong understanding of the RMA, district plans, and plan change processes
  • Confident communicator with excellent report writing skills
  • Experience presenting or preparing evidence for hearings (desirable)
  • NZPI membership or working toward it
  • Someone who enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to a positive team culture
