About the Role

As a Distribution Team Leader, youll oversee all distribution activities within the Hawkes Bay District, ensuring the right stock is in the right place, at the right time, and at the right cost. Youll lead a team of 10, manage service levels, and maintain compliance with national standards while fostering a strong safety culture. This role is pivotal in supporting a nationally consistent and robust supply chain that enables equitable and sustainable healthcare.

Youll also work closely with the Distribution Manager to implement improvements, resolve operational challenges, and deliver projects that enhance efficiency and service quality.

Our Supply Chain team plays a critical role in ensuring health services across Hawkes Bay have the resources they need. Based in Hastings, youll join a collaborative team committed to excellence, innovation, and supporting frontline healthcare through efficient and reliable distribution.

About you

As a Distribution Team Leader, you will bring:

  • 5+ years experience in warehouse or inventory operations, with proven leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and health & safety regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively, communicate clearly, and lead a team to achieve operational goals.
