The Role
As the Asset & Reliability Team Leader your role reports directly to the engineering leader, and has overall responsibility for executing small projects, planned and unplanned maintenance programs across the site.
This a 24/7 heavy industry processing facility, with multiple high hazard assets as such we are looking for an experienced Reliability or Maintenance Manager with a passion for engineering excellence and experienced within a similar manufacturing environment.
You will lead a team of skilled professionals to ensure maximum plant availability and performance. This role is responsible for ensuring planned and reactive maintenance work is scheduled, appropriately resourced and all necessary workflows have been taken into account.
Responsibilities
- Developing & implementing long-term asset management and reliability strategies
- Developing strong internal & external relationships, including managing a large contractor base.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to lead and manage maintenance budgets & contributing to site financial planning and performance.
- Your role is collaborative, you build strong cross functional relationships, working to support production & capital projects.
- Leading breakdown resolution for internal and external resources
- Driving operational excellent through data analysis, innovation and planning.
- You will champion HSE for your team, using your existing high hazard environment experience, safety is at the forefront always.
- To lead, develop, mentor and coach a strong existing maintenance team, including tradesman, a reliability engineer & planners.
Skills & Experience required:
- 5 to 10 years' experience as a proven, passionate & engaged engineering leader with the required environments.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering or be trade qualified ( Industrial Electrical or Mechanical) with significant experience
- You must have experience within bulk liquid storage, oil & gas, beverage, heavy industry, water/waste, dairy or a similar high hazard environment.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, especially 5S, Structure problem-solving, and standard work.
- A preference will go to candidates with an electrical bias or instrumental and controls background. However both mechanical and electrical engineering background will be considered.
- You are experience in supporting a culture of excellence, leading from the front with Health, Safety & Environmental management.
