Are you a driven relationship builder who thrives on turning opportunities into results? Our client is a respected New Zealand manufacturer and distributor of high-performance building products is known for its quality, innovation, and technical expertise across the construction industry.
We're looking for a Business Development Manager to grow our client's footprint across the South Island. You'll identify new business opportunities, strengthen relationships with existing customers, and champion a range of engineered building products across the trade, construction, and manufacturing sectors.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute growth strategies across the South Island region
- Build strong relationships with key customers, specifiers, and fabricators
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the building and construction industry
- Provide technical insights and product solutions to meet customer needs
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction
What you'll bring
- Proven success in business development, sales, or account management (ideally in building, construction, or manufacturing)
- Strong technical understanding of building products or systems — or a willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- A proactive, self-motivated mindset with the ability to work independently
- Full NZ driver's licence and flexibility to travel across the South Island
