Global Payroll Specialist

CORPAY is currently looking to hire a Global Payroll Specialist for a 12-month maternity leave cover within our Human Resource division based in Auckland. In this role, you will help shape the global payroll process to become more automated and scalable through the use of better systems by owning the local payroll processes. You will initially report directly to the SVP, HR and regularly collaborate with the HR team and finance teams.
How We WorkAs a Global Payroll Specialist, you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment. CORPAY will set you up for success by providing:
- Assigned workspace in Ellerslie office
- Company-issued equipment
- Formal, hands-on training
The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Processing of payroll for New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, and Malaysia geographies
- Fostering relationships with internal stakeholders by establishing and working collaboratively with other country level and corporate teams including HR, Compensation, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Finance, Audit, Compliance and IT
- Managing day to day payroll operations, supporting new and existing pay programs, and driving process standardization, automation, and improvement in the controls for payroll and ensures process efficiency and effectiveness
- Drive appropriate consistent processes across the region towards global process standardization while allowing flexibility when required locally
- Maximizing the effectiveness of technologies and supporting processes to drive continuous improvement and change initiatives
- Ensuring payroll process supports fiscal and regulatory compliance
- Establishing partnerships with internal services and third-party vendors to ensure effective service delivery
- Minimum of 3 years payroll experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance or related field or equivalent work experience
- Background working in an outsourced payroll vendor model
- Experience in the development of efficiencies in payroll processes and internal controls
- Expertise in local payroll regulations and reporting requirements
- Experience with establishing/managing global payroll shared services to support regional payroll
