We're on the hunt for a motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Leader with a passion for leadership and excellence. In this hands-on role, you'll set the standard for quality, inspire your team, and ensure every guest space is pristine and inviting. Your ability to lead by example, coordinate daily operations, and uphold the highest service standards will make you a key part of creating memorable guest experiences.

About the role

As a Team Leader, you are responsible for upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and comfort across guest rooms, public spaces and spa environments. In this leadership role, you will train and mentor housekeeping team members, contribute to quality service delivery and support our commitment to guest satisfaction, operational excellence, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

•       Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure consistent and timely service.

•       Mentor and train colleagues in cleaning standards, safe chemical handling, and guest engagement.

•       Foster a respectful, inclusive, and improvement-focused work culture.

•       Lead by example - demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.

•       Encourage a positive and welcoming team culture.

•       Prepare and service guest rooms and suites to a premium standard, including bed making, cleaning, vacuuming, and amenity replenishment.

•       Operation of laundry equipment (Washers & Dryers)

•       Ensure that in-room items are functional and well-maintained (e.g., lighting, furnishings, appliances).

•       Restock towels, linens, and toiletries efficiently.

•       Uphold guest privacy and comfort with sensitivity and discretion.

•       Maintain spa and soak tub areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and guest comfort.

•       Monitor and treat soak tubs for correct temperature and chemical balance.

•       Conduct visual inspections of guest rooms and public areas to identify issues.

•       Adhere to hotel policies for waste separation, recycling, and environmental responsibility.

•       Use appropriate PPE and follow manual handling and workplace safety protocols.

What we are looking for

In your new role, you will be working on behalf of our guests and working with other team members. To be successful in this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:

• Tertiary qualifications in hospitality or a related field – preferable but not mandatory.
• Workplace safety training or chemical handling certification – desirable.
• Minimum 2 years experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel or premium hospitality setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to presentation standards.
• Experience maintaining spa or wellness areas is an advantage.
• Professional communication with both guests and colleagues.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks over extended periods.
• Proficient in cleaning methods, equipment, and chemical use.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Fluent English essential, additional languages an advantage.
