We are looking for an experienced mental health nurse who has a passion for working with adults with complex mental health needs. You must be able to work autonomously as well as contribute to the multi-disciplinary team. Along with a good sense of humour and flexibility, you will require excellent communication and organisational skills as they are an essential part of the day-to-day work.

About the Team/Service Location
The South community mental health team is a friendly supportive team, with a recognition that enjoying our mahi enhances our service delivery. We have a range of clinical skills and personalities that mean you can find your place with us. Covering the Southern and Eastern suburbs of wellington affords us a diverse caseload of clients with equally diverse needs. We strive to provide a service that fits the range of needs we encounter and puts the person at the centre of what we do.
About you
- Able to work autonomously as well as contribute to the MDT.
- Creative, innovative thinking and problem solving.
- Application of best practice models of care.
- A willingness to learn and develop your practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and skilled in developing relationships with a variety of other professionals.
- Registered with the relevant board in New Zealand.
- You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience providing comprehensive assessments and risk management plans, formulating and articulating treatment needs and plans, and be able to coordinate and prioritise treatment needs.
- You will hold a full NZ drivers licence.
