We are looking for a Water Reticulation Supervisor to join our Tauranga Water team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals eager to step into their first supervisory position or advance their career in the water sector.

The primary role will be the management, supervision and leadership of the field crew(s) carrying out 3 waters maintenance activities with water, wastewater, stormwater, mechanical or electrical with an expectation to:

  • Be involved in planning, organising, directing, and controlling activities and operations of water crews.

  • Ensure that work is completed to customers' satisfaction and all targets (productivity, quality, and safety) are met.

  • Include time performing maintenance work as support to the field crews.

The Supervisor will need to work closely with the management team to deliver all obligations and requirements under the contract.

You will be a passionate, highly organised Supervisor with a talent for prioritising and managing a fast-paced, high-volume workload with a can-do attitude.   In addition, it is essential to have the following: 

  • Proven leadership experience with an ability to influence and empower your crew members.
  • Demonstrated experience in working on tight deadlines and within budgets.
  • Relevant water, wastewater, engineering, mechanical or electrical qualifications
  • Be able to adapt your communication style to all levels of stakeholders.
  • National Certificate Level 4 or equivalent in experience
