If you're a skilled turfie with a love for sports and a talent for maintaining playing surfaces, we want to hear from you We are currently seeking a passionate Team Manager | Sports to join our team and take charge of maintaining grounds within our Schools contract.

What we're looking for:

As our Team Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring top-notch maintenance and preparation of playing surfaces. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leveraging your extensive knowledge of sports turf, with a particular emphasis on cricket grounds, to achieve outstanding results
  • Collaborating closely with clients and stakeholders to exceed project objectives and create remarkable outdoor spaces
  • Utilising your mechanical expertise to operate and maintain mowers, tractors, line markers and other turf-related equipment
  • Demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines
  • Manage a team of 6 direct reports ranging from Cricket Groundsman to Mower Operators
What we are looking for:
  • A strong knowledge and passion for sports turf
  • Motivated and self-driven with the physical fitness required for the role
  • Level 4 turf qualification with demonstrable experience in preparation and maintenance of cricket pitches and other sports playing turf
  • Flexibility to work some weekends during the cricket season
  • A full, clean NZ driver's licence and capability to drive a manual vehicle are essential
