Te Tūranga – About The Role
As the Enterprise Integration Services Team Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the integration backbone that powers our enterprise systems. This position blends hands-on technical leadership with strategic oversight, ensuring our integration platforms are robust, scalable, and aligned with our enterprise architecture vision. You'll lead a high-performing team, champion best-in-class engineering practices, and drive continuous improvement to support our business and technology goals.

This is a role for a leader who thrives at the intersection of technology and people - someone who can inspire engineering excellence while delivering seamless integration solutions across complex enterprise landscapes. You'll be at the forefront of building the integration fabric that connects mission-critical systems across our enterprise. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and Mentor: Provide line management, career development, and engagement for a team of integration specialists, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Deliver Integration Excellence: Oversee the design, build, and deployment of enterprise integration services using technologies such as SAP PI/BTP Integration Suite, Apache Kafka, SAP Event Mesh, Google Apigee, SAP API Management, Java/ on AWS, and CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
• Champion Best Practices: Drive improvements in software development standards, CI/CD automation, testing frameworks, and DevOps maturity.
• Ensure Operational Reliability: Own platform performance metrics and operational support, ensuring high availability and rapid incident resolution.
• Collaborate and Influence: Partner with Enterprise Architects and cross-functional teams to define integration strategies, promote reference architectures, and deliver simplified connectivity solutions.

You thrive in dynamic environments, balancing strategic vision with operational reliability.

What We're Looking For

• Proven Leadership: Experience leading software engineering teams with direct line management responsibilities, including mentoring and career development.
• Integration Expertise: Strong background in enterprise integration technologies and modern software development practices.
• Technical Depth: Preferred experience with:

SAP ERP
: RAP, SAP CDS, SAP OData APIs

Integration Platforms
: SAP BTP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management), Google Apigee

o
Microservices
: Java (primary), (beneficial) on AWS

o
Databases
: Postgres on AWS RDS; MongoDB SaaS (advantageous)

o
Event & Streaming
: Kafka (AWS MSK highly advantageous), SAP Advanced Event Mesh/Solace Event Mesh

o
CI/CD
: GitHub and GitHub Actions

o
Cloud Infrastructure
: AWS and SAP BTP

• Operational Excellence: Demonstrated ability to manage operational support for production platforms, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across technical and business teams.
