Operations Manager

About the role

This is a full-time Operations Manager role with Rural Tenancy Ltd, a leading residential property management and farm house inspection company, based in Darfield, Canterbury. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the business, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery to our clients.

What will be required of you

• Oversee and develop our well-established, high-quality team of Contractors, Tenancy Inspectors and Property Managers. Oversee general administrative and operational processes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations related to Residential Property Management
• Provide data analysis and reporting to support decision-making and business strategy
• Effectively manage relationships with landlords, tenants, and other key people.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the company's policies and procedures
• Assist with the recruitment, training, and development of the team
• Grow the Property Management and Inspection Portfolios through advertising, relationship building and general business development avenues.
• General day to day Administrative duties such as taking calls, emails, data filing, rental appraisals etc

What we're looking for

• Experience in the New Zealand Property Management Industry with a Preference to Level 4 Certificate in Property Management
• Strong knowledge of residential tenancy laws and regulations, as well as property management best practices. Knowledge around other relevant legislation such as the Privacy Act and the Health & Safety Act
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of people
• Proven organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
• Proficient in using Property Management software and Microsoft Office suite
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a solutions-oriented approach
• A team player with the ability to lead and motivate a team
