We're looking for a detail-focused and friendly Payroll Administrator to join our team and help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Since 1862, we've grown from a local orchard to a beloved national brand, known for our quality apples and innovative stone fruit varieties. Our orchards in Hawke's Bay continue to produce some of New Zealand's finest fruits, thanks to our dedicated team and cutting-edge practices.

In this role, you'll manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves precision, enjoys problem solving, and wants to be part of a supportive and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process end-to-end payroll for all employees
  • Maintain accurate employee records and data
  • Reconcile and process payments, including IRD, ACC, and KiwiSaver
  • Generate payroll reports and analytics to support decision making
  • Manage payroll queries and provide friendly, efficient support to staff
  • Support RSE administration and related compliance requirements (no experience required)

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience with payroll systems and processes (AgriSmart experience a bonus, but not essential)
  • Understands payroll legislation, including leave calculations, ACC, and MSD
  • Has a strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy
  • Communicates clearly and builds great working relationships
  • Brings a positive, can-do attitude and enjoys working as part of a team
  • Is confident using Excel and technology in general
  • Has an interest in continuous improvement and learning new skills
