Join a respected nationwide heavy equipment company as an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic. In this hands-on role no two days are the same, you'll work across a wide range of heavy equipment and transport trucks, tackling diverse challenges and sharpening your technical expertise. You'll also have the chance to build your leadership skills or step confidently into a role where you can lead from day one.

Role:I am on the lookout for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic who can step into a workshop and get right amongst it. You'll have strong diagnostics and repair experience across a range of equipment and transport trucks. Previous leadership experience would be a bonus, or if you are ready to step into those big boots, this could be a role for you 

You'll get hands-on with a wide variety of machinery, including diggers, graders, rollers, and a mixed fleet of transport trucks across multiple brands. This diverse range of equipment ensures you'll constantly be expanding your technical skills while tackling new and interesting challenges each day.

This role is workshop based and can start this side of Christmas if things all line up properly. This is a busy workshop with 15 staff spread across two workshops who all get along with each other and genuinely enjoy showing up each and every day to get the best results for the company. We are looking for a self motivated, good bloke to join their team. 

What we are looking for:

  • NZ Certificate Heavy Diesel Mechanic/Technician
  • Solid experience in truck and trailer/heavy earth moving servicing and repairs
  • Strong understanding and appreciation for H&S
  • Ability to think on your feet and solve complex problems
  • Great teamwork and communication skills
