Carpenter

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team at Remarkable People in Nelson. This is a casual position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects.

As a Carpenter, you will play a key role in the construction and maintenance of high-quality woodwork, contributing to the success of our growing company.

What You'll Be Doing

• Constructing and installing a range of wooden structures, including frames, walls, floors, and cabinetry
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and precision
• Selecting and using the appropriate tools, equipment, and materials for each project
• Collaborating with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure seamless project completion
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
• Providing support and guidance to junior team members, sharing your expertise and knowledge

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified Carpenter, with a strong understanding of carpentry techniques and practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Confident in the use of hand and power tools, and skilled in a range of woodworking techniques
• A commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with others
