About the job:

We're looking for an experienced Smart Water Meter Installer to join our team in Christchurch.

The role involves:

• Installing and commissioning smart water meters across Christchurch homes and businesses.
• Ensuring accurate meter placement, secure fittings, and compliance with Christchurch City Council specifications.
• Working directly with customers on-site in a professional and respectful manner.
• Completing digital records, updates and installation logs using mobile devices.
• Troubleshooting minor installation issues and ensuring high quality workmanship.

What you'll need:

• Previous experience in the water industry (installation, reticulation, and metering).
• A Connexis Level 3 Water Industry Qualification is desirable.
• Strong understanding of water systems, pipe fittings and network components.
• Great communication skills and confidence interacting with customers.
• High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and independently.
• You will need to be physically fit and health & safety focused.
• A full class 1 licence is also essential (full class 2 license and WTR are a bonus).

All preferred candidates will be required to complete preemployment checks to the employer's satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, Ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
