Print Trade Overseer – 5D Wellington Correctional Centre
Location: Wellington Correctional Centre
Employment type: Ongoing, Full Time
Salary: $94,456 pa + Incidental Allowance + Leave Loading + Superannuation
We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Trade Overseer to work at our Print Unit at the Wellington Correctional Centre.
Your Role:
You will supervise and develop inmates through managing, coaching, instructing, and encouraging them, as members of a team, in order that they may improve their work skills, enhance their post-release employment prospects, and contribute productively to Service/Business Unit objectives.
Oversee the activities of the team to ensure productivity efficiency and other commercial objectives are achieved whilst ensuring all Workplace Health & Safety, Quality Management requirements and customer service needs are met.
The Successful candidates are provided with paid training to undertake Certificate III in Correctional Practice at an allocated Corrective Services Academy training facility.

Qualifications Required:
- Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or the capacity to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practice in accordance with specified CSNSW timeframes
- Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle while performing the role.
- Experience and knowledge in most aspects of printing, graphic design, screen/ digital/ sublimation printing, Lithographic Offset Printing, Web/Flexographic printing and Printing Engineering or willing to obtain qualification within 3 years of appointment to the role.
- Relevant trade qualifications: Current Certificate III in any of the following: Print or Printing related trades.
- Forklift license desired, but not essential.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven post trade experience
- Demonstrated experience in large format / screen printing will be favourably considered.
- General understanding of capabilities around the use of computers and electronic platforms to access relevant departmental programmes and applications.
- Experience which demonstrates the ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the role description.
- Ability and willingness to work across trades as required.
