About UneeQ
UneeQ is an artificial intelligence company, developing the most advanced autonomous digital human platform available for customer interactions. Our mission is to deliver digital human experiences that reduce complexity, improve conversions and create memorable customer moments for brands.
Working at the leading edge of technology, UneeQ is fast-paced and constantly evolving. We are a remote-first workplace and have people located in New Zealand, the USA, Canada, Australia, and Europe.
We are deeply committed to living our values and fostering a culture and work practices where our people can do their best work, make an impact and thrive.
About The Role
This is a creative and hands-on role for someone who loves connecting directly with customers to uncover real needs, spark adoption, and turn insights into product direction.
While we're a remote-first Company and work independently day-to-day, we occasionally meet up in person to collaborate and work together. We're ideally looking for someone based in Auckland, as parts of the team tend to meet up about once a month to connect, share ideas, and work on bigger projects. We also have a brand-new co-working space in Auckland, and there are monthly social events to connect with the wider company and catch up in person.
There's lots of room for growth in this role - it's independent, with plenty of space to experiment, improve, and influence how our product evolves. You'll play a key part in shaping the future of our Immersive Training Platform by linking customer feedback, internal priorities, and product execution.
You'll also get the chance to collaborate with some well-known, exciting customers who are using our tech in innovative ways. If you're someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and impact - this role is for you
What You'll Be Doing And Key Responsibilities
Your day will generally start with a quick daily stand-up - aligning with engineers on troubleshooting, new ideas, and any challenges that need solving. Next, you might join a customer meeting, acting as our product expert - helping customers, collecting feedback, and uncovering new opportunities.
Then, you'll jump into our platform to explore new features, test functionality, and share internal feedback. Later, you might wrap up your day by presenting improvements and ideas to the product and engineering teams - helping turn insights into real action. You'll be our go-to product expert, working in a high-paced startup environment with lots of fun and meaningful tasks. Your responsibilities will include:
- Meeting with customers to understand their goals, workflows, and challenges
- Helping customers get onboarding to the product and continuously ensuring they're set up for success
- Acting as an internal product expert - supporting teammates and troubleshooting issues
- Collecting, organising, and filtering customer feedback to identify key themes
- Creating clear product and feature requirements based on customer needs and strategy
- Collaborate with engineering, design, sales and marketing, as well as leadership to discuss and debate different product ideas and approaches
- Analysing and evaluating product effectiveness with data-driven insights
- Testing and validating new features using prompt engineering and emerging AI techniques
- Conducting market research and competitive analysis
- Taking initiative across varied tasks - from documentation to testing - as needed in our fast-moving team
How We Measure Success
You'll know you're doing a great job when we see:
- UneeQ Products improving, based on data-driven insights and customer feedback
- Feedback on individual effectiveness among peers
What You'll Bring And Who You Are
You are:
You've likely worked with software before - maybe you've spent a few years in IT support, a technical customer success role, or working in testing. Or perhaps you have a few years of experience in product management
- Familiar with software engineering development lifecycle
- Interested in prompt engineering and conversational design principles
- Energised and enthusiastic about meeting with customers
- Comfortable adopting and experimenting with emerging AI tools and workflows, with the ability to adapt quickly
Bonus: you've worked in a startup before and thrive in fast-paced environments.
Also, you'll bring:
Strong communication and analytical skills; able to turn complex feedback into clear product insights
- Comfortable working closely with customers and internal teams
- Organised, adaptable, and eager to contribute wherever needed to help the team succeed
- Enthusiastic learner with an interest in conversational technology and product development
We're proud to be an inclusive workplace that celebrates diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. If this role excites you, we'd love to hear from you - even if you don't meet every single requirement.
