Butcher - New World Wigram

Permanent Full-Time

We are looking for a qualified and experienced retail butcher to join our busy, high-performing butchery team at New World Wigram.

This role entails working with our butchery team to ensure our customers have an excellent range of butchery products for our customers, produced to a high standard.

If you take pride in your craft, have a sharp eye for detail, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this could be perfect opportunity for you 

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, with roster is Sunday to Thursday (flexible for the right person), days and shifts will be discussed during the interview. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare, cut, and display a wide range of quality meats
  • Maintain our high standards for product quality, presentation, and food safety
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and product advice
  • Support your team to keep the butchery running smoothly and efficiently
  • Uphold all health & safety and food safety standards

The successful candidate will:

  • Trade qualification and proven retail butchery experience
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • A great team player 
  • A positive, personable attitude and great communication skills
  • Initiative, innovation, and a commitment to excellence
