Job Description
The Pacific Area Materials Management Department (MMD) is seeking to appoint a Store Clerk for the Auckland Distribution Retail Store. This is a part-time (18 hours per week), fixed-term position to cover a maternity leave approximately from October 2025 to April 2026, reporting to the Distribution Store Supervisor.

The Store Clerk will work collaboratively with other members of the Materials Management team to ensure gospel resources and services are accessible to Church members. This role involves direct customer engagement and serves as a visible ambassador for the Church. The primary objective is to deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming, positive experience for all visitors to the Distribution Store.

Responsibilities
These Store Clerks are responsible for assisting customers, both over the telephone and face-to-face, utilizing their extensive product knowledge, previous cashier experience, and friendly, helpful attitude. They may also be required to input orders within various computer software packages, provide personal fitting services to patrons, and perform basic housekeeping duties to ensure the store, stock, and storage areas are kept clean and tidy.

Qualifications

  • Retail or customer service experience
  • Business level communication skills (English)
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile
  • Education level – High School or equivalent
  • Previous cashier experience (highly regarded but not essential)
