Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Transport Leader – New Zealand to drive the growth and success of our transport business nationally. This role can be based anywhere in New Zealand.
You will play a pivotal role in building and strengthening our Transport offering — whether your background lies in Highways, Rail, or both. You will leverage and unify our existing teams to win, deliver and sustain major transport projects across the country.
This is a visible and influential leadership position, ideal for someone who is well connected in the New Zealand transport sector, thrives on building high-performing teams, and is passionate about creating long-term client partnerships.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and grow Egis' transport presence across New Zealand in the Highways and/or Rail sectors.
- Build, mentor and inspire high-performing teams, fostering collaboration across our existing NZ footprint.
- Drive business development, identifying opportunities, shaping proposals, and strengthening client and partner relationships.
- Oversee project delivery, ensuring excellence in quality, technical outcomes and commercial performance.
- Work closely with senior leaders to set strategy, establish market positioning and support long-term growth.
- Represent Egis with industry bodies, clients and key stakeholders, championing our transport capability.
- Promote continuous improvement, innovation and best practice across teams and projects.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in New Zealand's transport sector (Highways and/or Rail).
- Proven ability to build, grow and lead high-performing teams.
- Strong network and stakeholder relationships within the NZ transport industry.
- Demonstrated success in winning and delivering transport projects.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and shape market presence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to represent Egis at senior levels.
- A collaborative, people-focused leader who can bring teams together across locations.
