At Bendon, we're more than just a lingerie brand - we're a female-led business with a proud heritage of empowering women to feel confident and comfortable every day.
We're looking for a proactive, hands-on Logistics Manager who brings strong knowledge of logistics and the overall supply chain, that has proven experience in leading and motivating high-performing teams. If you love improving processes, solving problems, and rolling up your sleeves to lead by example, this could be the role for you.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you'll be actively involved in day-to-day logistics tasks to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe stock movements from vendor to distribution centre to end customer. You'll also help oversee the performance of our automated distribution centre.
In this role, you will be actively involved in daily logistics tasks, ensuring the smooth movement of freight from vendors through the distribution centre and on to customers. You will lead and inspire a team consisting of five direct reports and approximately twenty indirect reports, working within a predominantly female workforce. As the logistics and operations WMS superuser, you will drive best practices, support system enhancements, and maintain operational accuracy, with experience in NetSuite WMS being highly regarded.
This position requires a well-rounded and hands-on individual who is accountable across functions and works closely with the head of department. You will be responsible for driving logistical excellence through efficiency, accuracy, and ongoing improvement initiatives, overseeing daily distribution operations with support from your manager. Additionally, you will champion a positive, collaborative, and inclusive workplace culture, while ensuring compliance with all health and safety requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Transportation Management. Manage shipping schedules and freight providers to optimise costs. Handle freight bookings and equipment and resolve delivery delays or transport issues promptly.
- Inbound and Outbound Logistics. Coordinate receipt of goods from suppliers and oversee order picking, packing, and dispatch to customers or retail stores. Ensure timely, accurate deliveries and manage exceptions effectively.
- Warehouse Operations. Oversee the day-to-day running of the distribution centre with support from three department team leaders.
- Health and Safety Compliance. Lead health and safety initiatives for the DC, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a safe working environment for all staff.
- People Management. Support and guide experienced team leaders, set performance targets, conduct evaluations, and provide training and development opportunities.
- Process Improvement. Identify inefficiencies in logistics operations and implement systems or process changes to improve speed, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
- Inventory Management. Monitor stock levels and maintain inventory accuracy across all operations.
What You'll Bring:
- A minimum of 3 years' proven leadership experience in a management role within logistics, as well as in distribution centre or warehouse operations.
- Hands-on and operationally focused - you are not afraid to get stuck in - you will be in the trenches, solving problems, and not just delegating.
- Strong people management history with proven skills and the ability to coach, motivate, and build engaged teams.
- Exposure to extensive use of WMS systems in a similar role previously. (NetSuite experience highly regarded.)
- A problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency, process improvement, and delivering results.
- You are proactive, someone who doesn't just follow SOPs but questions and improves them.
- Proven experience in leading health and safety as a team manager.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Exposure to working with automation and conveyor systems in a DC environment would be considered an advantage.
Why Join Bendon?
- Be part of a female-led business that values inclusivity, collaboration, and empowerment.
- Work with a supportive team in an automated distribution centre environment.
- Play a key role in shaping the success of a heritage brand with a global footprint.
- Enjoy career growth opportunities within a dynamic and evolving business.
- Staff discounts on Bendon's beautiful products.
If you are a hands-on leader with a passion for excellence and team support, we'd love to hear from you.
