Site Supervisor (Travelling)

Due to sudden growth in our Offsite Manufactured Buildings, we have a new position available for a Site Supervisor to manage the delivery and installation of the buildings to site. The job would be based in Nelson predominantly and would require regular travel throughout the South Island for periods between 2-8 weeks at a time.

Duties

*Be available to travel throughout the South Island when called upon (within reason) to carry out the onsite build completion of an offsite manufactured building.

*Carry out standard building duties within nelson region when not required to travel.

*Coordinate and manage sub-contractors.

*Coordinate and manage builders, labourers, apprentices and temps.

*Liaise with Client as necessary to maintain good relationships.

*Manage onsite H & S including inductions for sub-contractors, requesting and reviewing TA's, toolbox meetings, incident reporting etc.

*Ensuring the completion of any defects.

Requirements

*Certificate in Carpentry.

*At least 5 years experience in the building industry.

*Track record of managing staff and subcontractors.

*Eye an attention to detail.

*Works well autonomously.
