We are looking for a reliable Class 5 Delivery Driver within the Nelson area. If you love driving and don’t want to be tied to a desk and are looking for a fun, physical, outdoors role with lots of variety then this is for you

**About the role**:

- Reporting to the Regional Transport Manager, the position is permanent full-time, paid 40 hours per week and working Monday to Friday delivering orders to our customers in a timely, professional and safe manner. We use a range of hassle-free, modern-day apps and hand-held technology, limiting the need for drivers to complete lengthy paperwork, saving you time and making your life easier.

Hourly rate: $28 to $30 per hour
- 40 hours per week
- Location: 52 Saxton Road Nelson

**Purpose of Role**
- To undertake deliveries to customers on a daily basis, executed as per the plan derived by the Delivery Services Planner through DMS then TMS once rolled out. A key focus is on providing exceptional customer service through Operational excellence/efficiency, DIFOT and a Safety first approach.

**General Duties**
- Record all customer order delivery status accurately and on time
- Complete all required reports and documentation
- Report all vehicle related accidents, injuries, or vehicle damage to your supervisor immediately
- Help out the branches with other tasks as necessary (Such as Housekeeping, stocking, processing despatch)
- Stay up to date with correct health and safety procedures
- Report any Site or general hazards or accidents to your supervisor immediately
- Look after any company property you use and report any damage to your supervisor
- Duties of this role may change over time and you may be required to perform alternate tasks as required

**Load and Deliver Orders**
- Assist with Picking/Packing orders where required
- Ensure loads are loaded, secured correctly, and checked
- Ensure loads are checked off before departure
- Ensure all loads are accurately stowed on vehicle to allow safe and efficient unloads

**Skills and Experience**:

- Hold a full and clean Class 5 NZ Drivers Licence
- HIAB experience and truck driving experience
- Ability to pass a medical and a drug & alcohol test
- Have an excellent manner with people, especially customer
- Be physically fit as manual handling and heavy lifting are a requirement
- Be reliable and have a good attitude towards health & safety
