If you've spent your career on the tools — roofing, scaffolding, or working at heights — and you're ready for a fresh opportunity, this could be the perfect next step.

ALH Labour Hire & Recruitment is looking for someone with proven experience working at heights to take the lead in establishing shrink-wrapping operations for a respected, family-owned asbestos removal and remediation company expanding into Auckland.

You'll receive full training in shrink-wrapping and asbestos safety, but you'll need to be comfortable working around asbestos and confident working at heights.

This is a great chance to be part of something new — the first hire on the ground, setting up processes, training future team members, and shaping how the Auckland operation runs.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading all shrink-wrapping operations to protect roofs and work areas across Auckland.
  • Applying shrink wrap to roofs and structures to safely contain and protect sites during asbestos removal.
  • Setting up site processes, maintaining high safety and compliance standards, and training future team members.
  • Working closely with site supervisors and management to plan and deliver efficient, high-quality work.

Who We're Looking For

  • Roofer, scaffolder, or tradesperson experienced and confident working at heights.
  • Comfortable working around asbestos (full safety training provided).
  • Physically fit, hands-on, and proud of delivering top-quality work. Able to lift heavy loads on to heightened structures and roofs.
  • Self-motivated and reliable — someone who can take the lead and get things moving.
  • Valid Working at Heights ticket and NZ driver's licence essential.
