Clinical Quality Advisor |South Island Region
At Alden, we're proud to provide quality aged care across 20 sites nationwide. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to deliver exceptional care through excellent people and quality support.
We're now seeking a Regional Quality & Continuous Improvement Advisor to help us strengthen our clinical governance and lead initiatives that drive excellence across our homes.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Clinical, this role is pivotal in supporting our regional and facility leaders to achieve outstanding resident outcomes. You'll provide oversight and advice across quality, risk, and clinical education, ensuring a consistent approach to improvement and innovation across the motu.
This role provides hands-on support to our Clinical Services Managers (CSMs) — helping with complex clinical situations, being a trusted sounding board, offering expert advice, and ensuring national standards are applied in a way that works for each site.
Each Advisor may also hold a specialist area of focus, contributing to the development of resources, training, and policies that strengthen that field.
However, the primary focus of this role is on providing day-to-day support across multiple sites and driving quality outcomes at the frontline.
You'll also support mentoring and coaching programs that build strong clinical thinking and capability, ultimately improving care for residents and developing confident, skilled teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and align national clinical governance and quality frameworks
- Provide hands-on guidance and expert clinical support to CSMs and care teams
- Monitor incidents, identify trends, and lead quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor, coach, and build capability through structured learning and preceptor programs
- Assist facilities to prepare for certification and achieve high audit outcomes
- Drive a "no harm" philosophy and a culture of continuous improvement
About You
You're an experienced Registered Nurse who's passionate about lifting quality standards in aged care. You're collaborative, influential, and thrive on making a tangible difference in people's lives.
You'll bring:
- Current NZ Nursing Registration and APC
- Postgraduate qualification (or working towards)
- Strong knowledge of quality, risk, and safety systems in aged care
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and influence clinical teams
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, eCase, interRAI, and Medimap
Ready to take your next step in clinical leadership?
If you're passionate about quality care, continuous improvement, and mentoring others, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply now to learn more about our commitment to providing exceptional care across Aotearoa.
