A highly regarded, advisory-led firm based in Palmerston North is seeking an accountant with a genuine interest in business advisory. This is not a typical compliance role. You'll be working alongside experienced professionals to deliver meaningful insights and support to clients who value strategic thinking and clarity in decision-making.

The Role This is a varied and interesting position focused on:

  • Management accounting and reporting
  • Financial analysis and interpretation
  • Cashflow forecasting and budgeting
  • Supporting client decision-making around projects, transactions, and strategic planning
  • Providing outsourced or virtual CFO (VCFO) services to a range of clients

The role can be shaped to suit someone at an intermediate or senior level, with appropriate support and development. What matters most is your mindset—curious, commercially aware, and motivated to help others succeed.

You Might Be...

  • A trainee or qualified CA with 1.5 years + experience in practice or commercial roles.
  • Someone who's enjoyed the advisory side of client work and wants more of it.
  • Confident with numbers, but even more confident in turning them into useful stories.
  • Looking for a role where flexibility, trust, and long-term development are genuinely offered.
  • Based in or open to relocating to the Manawatū region for the right opportunity.
